Kentmere Pan 400
Same day I took out the Lomo Purple, I shot my first roll of Kentmere 400. I recently joined the Analogue Wonderland subscription box and this was one of the films for the month of April. Harman Technology makes this stock, and if that name sounds familiar, it should, as they also produce all of the Ilford stocks.
This particular stock is meant to be for beginners in photography, but it also doubles as a pretty decent, cheap B&W stock to shoot on. While not as contrasty as I like, still a pretty capable B&W stock.
Don’t let this being a ‘beginner’ film stock fool you. Again, I prefer a bit more contrast in my B&W images, but was pleasantly surprised by the images I made with this stock. I was able to take advantage of a bright, sunny, nearly cloudless day out in the city and shot these with my Canon AE-1P at box speed of ISO 400.
