Lomography LomoChrome Purple
Ok. So. Finally got my hands on my first medium format camera and its just SO fun to use!!! More about that in a separate post…but, decided to use shoot my first roll with a stock I haven’t actually shot with before: Lomography Lomochrome Purple. I’ve seen examples of this before and with me being me, the more ‘unusual’ or ‘odd’ something is, the more I’m drawn to it.
Exposed these @ ISO 200; with the right light, you can get some aerochrome-esque images. Main thing I learned is that with direct sunlight, you’ll get a wash of bright purple tones, and with indirect sunlight, you’re more likely to get the aerochrome style. Next time I shoot with it, I’ll most likely try it @ ISO 400 just to see what those look like.
For these shots, I used the Fuji GA645Wi, which I picked up on eBay. Honestly, I wanted the GA645 which features a 60mm f/4 lens (~35mm f/2.8 Full Frame equivalent) lens. the GA645Wi has a 45mm f/4 (~28mm f/4 FF equivalent) lens…and as I was composing these shots, I had really no problem adjusting to shooting with the lens…and it dawned on me that this is very close the the lens equivalent on most smartphones. So happy accident there! Expect a review on the camera once I’ve spent more time with it.
